Matcha Pumpkin Spice Latte

Matcha is perfect on its own, no doubt about it! But at Noka, we love to experiment and pair it with unexpected flavours! That's exactly what we did with this drink! And guess what: it's simply delicious!

  • 20 cl barista oat milk
  • + a little extra oat milk for the foam
  • 1 heaped tbsp pumpkin purée
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 10 ml maple syrup
  • 5 g Le Pâtissier matcha
  • 60 ml hot water (not boiling)
  1. In a saucepan, combine the pumpkin purée, maple syrup and spices, then pour in the oat milk. Heat over a low to medium heat, stirring regularly. Then strain the hot drink.
  2. Prepare the matcha by sifting it over a bowl. Add the hot water, moisten your chasen (Japanese whisk) and whisk for 1 minute until smooth, lump-free and nicely frothy.
  3. Froth a little oat milk with an electric milk frother, or in a saucepan, whisking continuously until you get a silky foam.
  4. Pour the hot drink into a mug, add the milk foam, then finish with the prepared matcha.
  5. Stir and enjoy!

We recommend using Oatly barista oat milk.

For the pumpkin purée, choose a plain one, tinned or steamed, with no seasoning. The recipe also works with red kuri squash purée.

For the pumpkin spice, you can make your own blend; there are plenty of recipes online.
