Matcha whisk
Reusable glass straws
Our matchas are Japanese, organic, bitterness-free...
Our range of matcha accessories
Unlike tea, which is steeped before removing the leaves, matcha is a powder mixed directly with water. Some accessories make its preparation particularly easy.
The Nōka range brings together several complementary utensils:
-
the matcha whisk or chasen, made of bamboo, for a smooth preparation and fine foam;
-
the chasen holder, made of ceramic, which helps the whisk retain its shape between uses;
-
the matcha spoon, made of stainless steel, designed to make daily measuring easier;
-
the 450 ml tasting glass, suitable for both hot and cold drinks and particularly practical for matcha lattes;
- reusable glass straws, with their storage pouch
For those who want to bring together several essentials in a single set, discover our matcha kit as well.
The essentials for preparing your matcha
Each accessory serves a different step in the ritual.
The chasen for whisking matcha
The chasen is the traditional bamboo whisk used to mix matcha with water.
Its fine tines disperse the powder and create a smooth, lump-free preparation with a fine foam. It is thus one of the most distinctive accessories for preparing matcha.
The chasen holder to preserve the whisk's shape
After use, the whisk must dry properly.
The ceramic chasen holder allows it to dry while helping it retain its shape. It prevents the tines from becoming unnecessarily misshapen between preparations.
The matcha spoon for consistent measuring
Made of stainless steel , the Nōka spoon measures 11.5 cm.
It makes it easy to scoop the powder and achieve consistent daily measurements.
The spout bowl for preparing and serving
The tempered glass preparation bowl features a hammered finish and a pouring spout.
The spout makes it easier to pour the matcha into a glass or cup, especially when preparing a latte, without having to transfer the drink from a traditional bowl that is less suitable for this purpose.
How to use the matcha accessories
Place 1 to 2 g of matcha in your preparation bowl, then add 40 to 70 ml of water heated to around 70°C .
Using the chasen, whisk the mixture vigorously in a zigzag motion until the preparation is smooth and slightly frothy.
You can then enjoy your matcha plain or use the bowl's spout to easily pour it into your tasting glass before adding water, milk, or a plant-based drink.
For an iced preparation or a matcha latte, the glass straws complete the experience while providing a reusable alternative to disposable straws.
How to care for your matcha accessories
Each material requires a few specific steps.
The bamboo chasen should be rinsed with warm water immediately after use, without soap. Then let it air-dry naturally, ideally on the chasen holder so that it retains its shape. It should never be placed in the dishwasher.
The ceramic chasen holder is hand-washed with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid thermal shock and let it dry thoroughly before storing it.
The stainless steel spoon can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. Dry it quickly after washing to minimize water marks.
The tempered glass bowl must be washed by hand. It is not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave.
The tasting glass is also hand-washed without abrasive sponges to preserve its clarity and the Nōka logo.
Finally, the glass straws can be washed by hand (ideally with a straw brush) or in the dishwasher. Handle them with care and store them in their fabric pouch when you are not using them.

Questions about our products?
What is matcha?
Matcha is a Japanese green tea powder made from tea leaves grown in the shade before harvest. After picking, the leaves are processed into tencha and then ground into a very fine powder. Unlike steeped tea, matcha is whisked directly into water, so you consume the entire tea leaf.
What is the difference between ceremonial-grade matcha and culinary matcha?
Ceremonial matcha comes from the first harvests of the year: smooth, without bitterness and a vibrant green, it can be enjoyed plain or in a latte. Culinary matcha is more intense, it retains its flavor in pastries and recipes. Our culinary matcha, Le Pâtissier, is high quality and also makes excellent lattes.
Which matcha to choose?
New to matcha? L’Authentique, smooth and delicious, is ideal for getting started. Do you drink it plain? Le Prestigieux, rich and silky, reveals all its finesse. Do you like it in a latte? L’Enchanteur, fresh and vibrant, with a typical Japanese flavor, retains all its character when mixed with milk. For your recipes, choose Le Pâtissier. And to taste our three ceremonial matchas, discover the Trio Découverte.
Where does Nōka matcha come from, and is it organic?
Our matchas are grown and harvested in Japan on the island of Kyushu by farming families in Kagoshima, Nagasaki, and Yame. Le Prestigieux and L’Authentique are Ecocert-certified organic. L’Enchanteur is grown without pesticides. Each batch is tested by an independent laboratory, and we publish all the results.
What is a matcha refill?
A refill contains exactly the same ceremonial-grade matcha as our tins, from the same batch, in an airtight bag, without the aluminum tin. This allows you to keep your Nōka tin and refill it whenever you need to, with less packaging. Our refills are available in 30 g and 80 g sizes, for Le Prestigieux, L’Authentique, and L’Enchanteur.
What accessories do you need to prepare matcha?
Three accessories are all you need: a chasen (bamboo whisk) for whisking, a spoon for measuring, and a bowl for preparation. For lattes, our spout bowl and tasting glass make serving easy. Our matcha kit brings together all the essentials in a single set. Matcha is sold separately.
How to prepare and store your matcha?
Sift 1 to 2 g of matcha into a bowl, add 70 ml of water between 70 and 80°C, then whisk in a zigzag motion with a chasen until a fine foam forms. For a latte, add 150 to 200 ml of milk.
Then store your matcha in the refrigerator, tightly sealed: it will retain its color and flavor for 3 to 4 months after opening.
What do your matcha treats contain?
Our matcha spread contains only four ingredients: almonds, whole milk powder, sugar, and 6% matcha.
Our 5% matcha white chocolate combines whole milk powder, cocoa butter, sugar, and matcha.
The coconut version contains 4% matcha. All are artisanally made in the south of France, without additives, preservatives, or palm oil.
Do you offer a subscription?
Yes, our ceremonial-grade matchas and their refills are available through a subscription, with savings of up to 10% depending on the matcha and delivery frequency you choose. Delivery every 30, 60, or 90 days, with no commitment and adjustable at any time.
